These Terms of Use (the “Terms” or “EULA”) form a binding agreement between you and KNOWNET LIMITED(trading as “Knownet”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a company registered in England and Wales with D-U-N-S Number 234498143. They govern your use of the Knownet mobile application (the “App”) and the website at knownet.com (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, installing the App, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under the laws of your country of residence. If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you represent that you are authorised to bind that company.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, applicable law, or that pose a risk to other users or to Knownet.
3. Use of the Service
You agree not to:
- Post content that is unlawful, fraudulent, discriminatory, defamatory, harassing, obscene, or that infringes third-party rights.
- Misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or the nature of a job you post.
- Use the Service to send spam, recruitment scams, or chain messages.
- Scrape, mirror, reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the Service or its security.
- Use the Service to collect personal data about other users for any purpose other than legitimate hiring or job-seeking activity on the platform.
4. User content
You retain ownership of the content you submit (CV details, job posts, messages, photos). By submitting content, you grant Knownet a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, reproduce and transmit it solely for the purpose of operating, promoting and improving the Service. You represent that you have all rights necessary to grant this licence.
5. Subscriptions (auto-renewable)
Knownet Pro is offered as an auto-renewable subscription. The following terms apply when you purchase a subscription through the App on Apple’s App Store:
- Plans and prices:
- Knownet Pro Monthly — £14.99 per month
- Knownet Pro Yearly — £99.99 per year
- Billing: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Auto-renewal: Your subscription automatically renews for the same period at the then-current price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- Managing or cancelling: You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renew at any time in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iOS device.
- Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple under Apple’s standard refund policy. We do not control refunds for in-app purchases made through Apple.
- Free trials and offers: If you take a free trial or introductory offer, any unused portion will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
6. Consumable in-app purchases (credits and boosts)
In addition to subscriptions, Knownet may offer one-time consumable in-app purchases such as credits or job-post boosts. These are non-refundable once used. Unused credits remain on your account while your account is active.
7. AI features
Knownet includes AI-assisted features such as job matching, CV building, voice search and chat (collectively “Knownet AI”). Knownet AI is provided “as is” and may produce inaccurate or unexpected output. Do not rely on Knownet AI for legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical decisions. You enable Knownet AI features only after granting explicit in-app consent, and may withdraw consent at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details on what data is processed by Knownet AI.
8. Fees outside the App Store
Some features may be sold or invoiced outside the App (e.g. employer plans paid by card on the website). Those purchases are governed by the order form or checkout terms presented at the time of purchase.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, logos, and content (other than user content) is owned by Knownet or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the Apple App Store’s end-user licence terms.
10. App Store terms (Apple)
If you obtained the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Knownet only, and not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligations and is not responsible for addressing claims relating to the App (including product-liability claims, claims that the App fails to conform to applicable law, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation). Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
11. Privacy
Our processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you agree to that processing.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Knownet disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular outcome (job, hire, response) will result from its use.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Knownet will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or business opportunities, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (e.g. for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer).
14. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from within the App. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect Knownet or its users. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will survive termination.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, except that consumers may also bring proceedings in the courts of their country of residence as required by mandatory consumer-protection law.
